Shelter

Shelter is one of three Brooklyn Tweed woolen-spun yarns, which means that the fibers stay in a lofty jumble, creating a yarn that is both light and incredibly warm. The two plies in worsted-weight shelter are lightly twisted to remain a buoyant yarn, which makes it a little more delicate than your average commercial yarn. But don't let it's initially delicate nature fool you, it's a great workhorse yarn suitable to sweaters and other garments.

Exclusive to shelter are three marled colorways; Newsprint (Fossil and Cast Iron), Narwahl (Fossil and Sweatshirt) and Caribou (Fossil and Barn owl).

Each 50g skein has approximately 150 yards of 100% Wyoming-grown Targhee-Columbia wool
