Brooklyn Tweed

We are proud to offer the full color array of the three woolen-spun yarns by Brooklyn Tweed; Shelter, Loft and Quarry.

Borne of the desire to create yarns that were American made and would support the textile industry in the US, founder Jared Flood offered Brooklyn Tweed's first yarn, Shelter, in 2010. A worsted weight, woolen-spun yarn made from 100% Wyoming grown Targhee-Columbia fiber in a gorgeous rainbow, Shelter was soon joined by fingering weight Loft and Bulky weight Quarry to provide a wide range of weights to meet the needs of modern garment and accessory knitters.

Grown in the open rangeland of Wyoming, the fiber is then dyed in Philadelphia and milled in New Hampshire.
