Star Rise Cowl Class **ZOOM**

The Star Rise Cowl by Martha Alvarado has continued to be a super popular shop sample and we thought it would be fun to host as a technique class with a small supply list.

Stunning rays of color burst from a central motif of a tonal rustic background and the long slow color changes of Spincycle's Dyed in the Wool do the heavy lifting. Mosaic knitting is a way of producing a finished piece that looks like complicated colorwork, but you're only working with one color of yarn at a time. 

Students will join Tamara on Zoom for three classes: Friday evenings in April (April 2, 9, and 16 from 5-7pm) to learn to knit the Star Rise Cowl. As this is a web-based event, we'd love to have students from outside the valley join in as well! (Please remember that Purl2 is located in the Pacific Time zone.) 

Supplies:

-1 50g skein of Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool (or 200 yds of another colorful Sport weight yarn)

-Approx. 200yds of solid colored Fingering to sport weight yarn**

-Size US6 16" circular knitting needles

-Copy of Star Rise Cowl by Martha Alvarado pattern

-3 Stitch Markers

-Tapestry needle/scissors for finishing
