Instructor Tamara Holloway will teach you how to create the perfect light weight mittens for the coming cold weather with the Templeton Mitts pattern by Meg Hollar. The textural stitch pattern on the back of the hand on these mitts serves as a great decorative feature but also gives the mitts some extra heft and structure to keep your hands toasty warm. Students should already be comfortable casting on and know how to do the knit and purl stitches independently. You can expect to learn how to create a thumb gusset, and create decreases for both the hand and thumb.
